The Site of Deshou Palace is located at the foot of Phoenix Mountain in Hangzhou. It was the place where Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, lived in his later years after abdicating. Later, Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty also expanded Deshou Palace, which was then called ‘Northern Inner Palace’ or ‘Northern Palace’. It covers an area of more than 17,000 square meters. The layout is the same as that of the imperial palace. The garden scenery in the back garden is exquisite. It is still in the stage of waiting for development. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, 09:30 – 17:00; closed all day on Monday throughout the year.
