The Dinglin Temple Pagoda is also known as the Fangshan Leaning Tower. The tower body leans 7.59 degrees to the north. Its inclination exceeds the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and can still be called the ‘world’s first leaning tower’. The Dinglin Temple Pagoda was built in 1173 AD during the ninth year of Qiandao in the Southern Song Dynasty. The tower is about 14.50 meters high and is a seven-story octagonal brick pagoda imitating wooden structure.

The interior of the first and second floors is square, and from the third floor up, it is cylindrical. On the fifth floor, there is a wooden frame to support the brake rod. Only the south side of the ground floor has a door. In the center, there is a stone-carved Sumeru pedestal. There are niches on the east, west, and north sides. All other floors have doors on all four sides. The tower body is made of bricks into column brackets and dougong imitating wooden structure.

Opening hours: Open all year round from 06:00 to 18:00.
