It was a holiday, and I decided to take a stroll, only to stumble upon such a beautiful subway station. I had planned to visit the Bird’s Nest for the day and set off alone by subway.

It took about 40 minutes to reach the Olympic Park station. As I exited, I was astounded by the sight before me—a sunken ancient-style architecture surrounded by blooming flowers, especially the crabapple trees, which were in full bloom and incredibly vibrant. It was a breathtaking sight!

On both sides of the subway exit, there were tall crabapple trees forming arched floral pathways, creating a stunning backdrop for photos. I had never visited here during the spring bloom before, but today, I was fortunate to catch it and not miss out on this captivating view.

In addition to the crabapple blossoms, there were also peach blossoms in red, white, and pink, contrasting vividly with the pink of the crabapples. Inside the ancient buildings, there were also lilacs, adding to the riot of colors.

While taking photos, one could also capture the northern landmarks such as the Olympic Tower and the Linglong Tower, which complemented the scene beautifully.

I spent over an hour here, reluctantly leaving to head up to the scenic avenue where the ginkgo trees on both sides were gradually turning green.

The flowers around the Bird’s Nest have already bloomed, with crabapple trees, peach blossoms, and lilacs to the north, where many people were taking photos and checking in. To the west, there were also lilacs and a field of peonies, just waiting to bloom, perhaps in three to five days.Beijing’s spring is a blooming garden of flowers, and it’s essential to get out and about to fully appreciate the beauty. The south side had almost no flowers, but the east side was a different story. It featured a river flanked by weeping willows, also adorned with flowers, making it the best spot to capture the enchanting reflection of the Bird’s Nest, particularly at night.

The Water Cube and the National Stadium were equally captivating, surrounded by many crabapple blossoms, which made it an excellent time for photography enthusiasts.

When visiting the area around the Bird’s Nest, you have the opportunity to explore other cultural and entertainment venues. These include the China Science and Technology Museum, the Party History Museum, and a cinema located next to the museum.

For those seeking a more natural experience, the northernmost area is the Olympic Forest Park. This park is filled with many flowers and is the perfect destination for a spring outing.

In summary, Beijing’s springtime offers a variety of picturesque locations to explore and enjoy the vibrant floral displays that grace the city.
