Barbecue makes many people crazy about it, but it doesn’t rank high in my heart as it makes one get excessive internal heat easily. I didn’t expect like-minded friends to choose to gather at this place of ‘Life in a String’, and even more unexpectedly, there is also a TV series with the same name. Originally, when gathering with those friends who love barbecue, it’s not about the taste but reminiscing about the past. [Gourmet food] At first, looking at the menu, I didn’t know what to order. Basically, it was all ordered by good friends. After eating, everyone unanimously thinks that the following items are delicious.
#Cheese-baked durian for 38 yuan# I basically ate this plate. It must be eaten when it’s hot. The durian flavor is very strong. When picking it up with chopsticks, it can still be pulled into threads. Full marks.
#Grilled cheese crab shell for 22 yuan# Dig it up with chopsticks and put it in the mouth. The thick cheese is mixed with crab meat and crab roe. A full shell fills the mouth and greatly increases one’s appetite. What impresses me the most is that after the cheese spreads in the mouth, with a gentle wipe, countless crab roe burst out with a fresh fragrance. This is the happiest moment in life.
#Grilled scallop for 15 yuan each# Plenty of ingredients, substantial. The scallop meat is firm. I can’t stop eating one after another. I keep stuffing it into my mouth desperately just to enjoy the continuous taste of scallop meat, green onions, garlic, and vermicelli in the mouth.

The grilled oyster is soft, smooth, and leaves a long aftertaste. Priced at 13 yuan each, the moment the oyster enters the mouth, its flavor spreads. The plump meat is extremely delicious, making happy moments even happier with the company of oysters.
For 22 yuan, the Tomahawk lamb chops are a must-try. After being served, it’s best to ask the waiter to cut them into small pieces. These chops have layers of fat and lean meat, providing a tender and juicy experience with a fragrant meat that lacks any mutton smell. Pairing lamb with wine is a perfect match.
Grilled Red Willow Lamb Skewers are available at 12 yuan each, and Beef Tallow Skewers at 3 yuan each. The lamb skewers are sprinkled with cumin and pepper powder, and as they are served, their aroma fills the air, making mouths water. My friend savors a skewer, closing her eyes and occasionally making a ‘tsk tsk’ sound. Her delighted expression makes one wonder if it could really be that delicious. I tried a beef tallow skewer, which was not only fragrant but also burst with oil. Despite its greasy appearance, the slightly chewy and crispy beef tallow, charred to perfection, was surprisingly not greasy at all. It was an amazing first taste.
Grilled prawns, at 5 yuan each with a minimum order of two skewers, are simply irresistible.
Lastly, the White Brimming Roasted Pig’s Eyes, at 10 yuan for two pieces, are surprisingly well-seasoned and even women are crazy about them. They should be eaten within three minutes after being served, with the entire piece in the mouth to prevent the white brimming sauce from spraying everywhere.
