Dongfang Green Boat is located adjacent to Dianshan Lake, featuring vast lake waves and lush vegetation, making it a large-scale park. Importantly, most schools in Shanghai organize student military training and spring outings here. Upon entering through Gate 4 of Dongfang Green Boat, visitors’ attention is drawn to the massive replica aircraft carrier, especially children who find the full-scale model very cool. Climbing aboard the aircraft carrier offers a panoramic view of Dongfang Green Boat and a distant view of Dianshan Lake. Inside, there are various entertainment facilities and an aviation museum, making it an excellent place for educational entertainment. The park also features over 160 statues of famous figures along the Wisdom Avenue for children to learn about their stories, a Global Village with different architectural styles from around the world (for accommodation), and sports and vacation facilities such as tennis courts, beach volleyball, and swimming pools. Due to its proximity to Dianshan Lake, many activities at Dongfang Green Boat are water-related. The outer water platform is long, offering a walk to enjoy the lake scenery; there is also a water-based ‘Path of the Brave’ with unique ‘checkpoints’ on the water, such as rope bridges, log bridges, and wooden stumps, where visitors cautiously play to avoid getting wet. Boating on the Green Boat Lake is also available, with various types of boats including pedal boats, rowing boats, and electric boats. Bringing your own food and enjoying a lazy lunch on the lawn is a good option. If you prefer not to bring food, the park offers various restaurants and a barbecue area, with grill rentals and food for sale. Dongfang Green Boat is vast, and renting a bicycle to visit different attractions adds to the fun, with single and tandem bicycles available. Operating hours are 08:30-17:00 from April 1st to October 31st; 08:30-16:00 from November 1st to March 31st. Concessions: Children aged between 6 (excluding) and 18 (inclusive) enjoy half price; those 1.3 meters (inclusive) or under 6 years old enter free with adult supervision.
