Dongsha Lake Ecological Park is one of the larger parks in Suzhou Industrial Park, covering an area of 1.21 million square meters, with 670,000 square meters of land and 540,000 square meters of water. In addition to the scenery created by thousands of planted trees, the park is equipped with landscape bridges, pebble beaches, viewing pavilions, water-side plank roads, and 30,000 square meters of hard ground, complemented by fountains, lighting, sound systems, tea houses, and restrooms, providing convenience for visitors.
The design of the landscape bridges is particularly distinctive, with 15 bridges each unique in design. Among them, Bridge No. 1, spanning from east to west like a rainbow, is particularly eye-catching, resembling a colorful cloud or a flying rainbow. On the cherry blossom island, four architecturally diverse walkways have been set up, with Bridge No. 3 specifically designed for the blind, featuring tactile paths and barriers for the visually impaired, facilitating their enjoyment of the park. Along the east coast of the lake, elements of Suzhou gardens have been integrated into the landscape, with locally produced yellow stones used to create a group of layered and verdant yellow stone rockeries. Climbing plants such as trumpet creepers and ivy are planted in the crevices between the stones, making the rockeries more natural and lush. The construction of the water-side plank road adds a touch of charm, with a 15,000 square meter wooden walkway built along the water, offering a unique experience for those who walk on it. The park is open all year round, 24 hours a day. Parking facilities are available at: Dongsha Lake Ecological Park – Parking Lot (Dongshenfu Road). Reference price: Paid, free for the first 10 minutes, and 5 yuan per entry. (Subject to actual charges at the scenic spot).Dongsha Lake Ecological Park
