Dongshan Camphor Garden is planned and built into three parks with different functions, namely Camphor Park, Waterfront Garden, and Flower Farm, positioned as a ‘city green lung’, ‘urban oxygen bar’, a place for citizens to relax, travel and consume, enjoy cultural entertainment and vacation. According to historical records, the location of Camphor Garden is exactly the birthplace of Xiao Yan, Emperor Wu of Liang in the Southern Dynasties. There are historical sites such as ‘donating a house to build a temple’, ‘establishing a county in Tongxia’, and ‘hiding ships in Jian’ao’. There was also a village named ‘Emperor Village’. There are more than 3,500 camphor trees in Camphor Garden, with an average tree age of more than 50 years. Walking in the woods, enjoying the fresh air and a faint camphor fragrance, one can forget troubles and be intoxicated by the pure and comfortable holiday.
