Dongxuan Temple is located in Nanjing. It was first built in the second year of Chiwu in the Eastern Wu Dynasty. It is a royal Taoist temple built by order of Sun Quan, the founding emperor of the Eastern Wu Dynasty. Remains such as a medicinal washing pool and an ancient well still exist in Dongxuan Temple.
