Dongyu Island is located in Boao Town, Qionghai City. It is a small island at the estuary of three rivers (Wanquan River, Longgun River, and Jiuqu River). It covers an area of approximately 1.78 million square meters. It has been praised by UNESCO as one of the places where the natural landscapes of estuaries of the world’s rivers are relatively perfectly preserved.
