Historically recorded, the Duobao Pagoda was constructed during the Ming Dynasty; however, it collapsed shortly after its completion. It wasn’t until the 1980s that the original foundation platform was rediscovered. Upon excavating the central stone chamber of the tower, gilded bronze statues and a large number of ancient coins were found. The current pagoda, reflecting the style of the Southern Tang Dynasty, was rebuilt in 1995. The pagoda, made of stone carvings, is solid and shaped like a long-handled bell, standing at 12.77 meters tall with nine levels and eight sides. Surrounding the pagoda, there are 64 stone-carved Buddha statues, exquisitely crafted, vividly lifelike, each with its unique charm and splendor, making it a must-see for visitors.
