Eastern Jin Dynasty Water City covers an area of 999 acres with a construction area of over 100,000 square meters. It is structured around Song Dynasty and Republic of China architectural styles, supported by the clear waters of the Millennium Dazong Lake, enriched with new Chinese-style commercial content, and connected by new Chinese garden hotels. It draws upon the essence of the ‘leisurely and comfortable’ lifestyle of the Lixiahe region, depicting a modern-day version of the ‘Along the River During the Qingming Festival’ painting with boats in the water and people living on islands.
The city encompasses ‘nine islands, seven rivers, three streets, two squares, one dock, one ferry, and twenty-four bridges’. From an aerial view, the nine islands resemble the Big Dipper constellation, named after the Big Dipper and two hidden stars. A main river, Shi Liang River, runs through the nine islands, with twenty-four distinctive bridges gracefully connecting them. Within the water city, there is one cultural monument, two folk activities, two lantern legends, three immersive experience venues, four new Chinese garden hotels, and five cultural experience venues, along with over 100 Chinese-style commercial outlets, workshops, intangible cultural heritage crafts, tea houses, and restaurants, vividly showcasing the millennia-old history of Lixiahe and conveying the spirit of a comfortable lifestyle. Opening hours are from 08:30 to 20:30 all year round.Preferential policies: Children aged 6 (inclusive) or under 1.4 meters (exclusive) in height enter for free; minors aged between 6 (exclusive) and 18 (inclusive) receive preferential tickets.
