Emperor Qianlong’s Water Tour in Yangzhou begins at the Imperial Wharf where Emperor Qianlong embarked on his boat during the Qing Dynasty, passing by Yechun Teahouse, Luyuan Village, Xiyuan QuShui, through Da Hong Bridge, the South Gate of Slender West Lake, Changdi Chunliu, Xu Garden, Xiaojinshan, Fishing Platform, White Pagoda, Wuting Bridge, and extending west to the Twenty-Four Bridges Scenic Area (near the West Gate of Slender West Lake).
The ten-mile spring waves of Emperor Qianlong’s Water Tour offer delightful scenery. During the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qianlong visited Yangzhou six times during his southern tours, boarding at the Imperial Wharf and sailing along the flower-lined banks, enjoying the pavilions and towers along Slender West Lake. The tour is named after Emperor Qianlong, making it a uniquely scenic water tour in China.

The boat journey on Emperor Qianlong’s Water Tour takes approximately 30 minutes, with electronic commentary provided for the Slender West Lake Scenic Area. As the boat glides through the water, the scenery unfolds like a traditional Chinese landscape painting.

Boats can be boarded at the Twenty-Four Bridges Scenic Area of Slender West Lake, and visitors can freely arrange their time for onshore visits within the Slender West Lake Scenic Area according to their preferences.

Opening hours are from 09:00 to 15:00 all year round.
