The performance of ‘ERA – Journey Through Time and Space 2’ will narrate the beautiful encounters and romantic love stories that happen in Shanghai, through spectacular acrobatics, new technologies, unprecedented stage elements, and the integration of diverse arts, combining Shanghai’s historical culture and modern charm, creating a series of rich and vivid scenes, showcasing the spirit of contemporary China and the soul of Shanghai. Crossing time and space, meeting a person, falling in love with a city. Without dialogue, it surpasses a thousand words. In the dim light of the city, what is revealed is the intrinsic goodness and beauty of the city, as well as the magnificent transformation and re-emergence of traditional Chinese acrobatic culture.
‘ERA – Journey Through Time and Space 2’ is operated by Shanghai ERA Cultural Development Co., Ltd., and jointly invested in by Shanghai Media and Entertainment Group Co., Ltd., China International Culture Group Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Acrobatics Troupe Co., Ltd. The company launched ‘ERA – Journey Through Time and Space’ in 2005, performing daily until 2020, and has won awards such as the National Stage Art Excellence Project, Ministry of Culture Innovation Award, National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base, Ministry of Culture Retained Play Award, and Top 30 National Cultural Enterprises.
‘ERA – Journey Through Time and Space 2’ will inherit the ERA brand’s positioning of ‘Chinese Elements, International Cooperation; Chinese Stories, Global Expression’ and 15 years of cultural industry operation experience, seamlessly connecting modern technology with Chinese acrobatic art, presenting a stage audio-visual experience to domestic and international audiences. With thrilling techniques and colorful stage effects, it conveys the ‘Surpassing Self, Pursuing Excellence’ spirit of Shanghai to the audience.
Opening hours: Year-round, Tuesday-Friday 17:00-20:00; Year-round, Monday closed; Year-round, Saturday 11:00-14:00 and 17:00-20:00; Year-round, Sunday 11:00-14:00. From April 1, 2024, ‘ERA – Journey Through Time and Space 2’ performances will be divided into two versions: 100-minute version on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays; 60-minute version on other days.
