As society’s attention to sustainable ecology continues to rise, there is a growing dedication to environmental protection and the exploration of future possibilities in transitioning from a human-centric to a coexistence paradigm that includes all things. To delve into these sustainable coexistence paradigms, LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao and Shanghai Tongji Tiandi Creative Design Co., Ltd. (referred to as ‘Tongji Tiandi’), an innovative industry platform associated with the College of Design and Innovation of Tongji University, have collaborated once again.

From May 25 to June 8, the ‘2024 All Things Coexistence Conference’ event will be held at LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao. The event aims to provide a platform for equal communication and the establishment of new relationships between humans and ‘all things’, promoting the concept of coexistence, co-prosperity, and coexistence of humans and all things.

Key Participants:
– Associate Professor Wu Duan from the College of Design and Innovation of Tongji University (Left)
– Ma Liang, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Jingqiao Commercial Management Co., Ltd. (Middle)
– Shi Yin, General Manager of Shanghai Tongji Tiandi Creative Design Co., Ltd. (Right)

In an effort to better explore the integration of urban public environment and commerce, LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao and Tongji Tiandi have created an innovative garden named ‘Fun Planting World’ in the south square on the first floor. The ‘2024 All Things Coexistence Conference’ event has been planned and organized based on this innovative platform.During the “2024 All Things Coexistence Conference” at LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao, visitors will be immersed in a vibrant scene of harmonious coexistence among humans, animals, and plants. The event offers a unique opportunity to explore the plant kingdom through creative presentations and workshops, where the strange charm of endangered fruits and vegetables is revealed. Additionally, there’s a chance for zero-distance interaction with adorable cats awaiting adoption.

Participants can become coexistence residents by engaging in a variety of interesting activities, such as animal and plant-themed workshops, adoption events, charity bazaars, popular science lectures, and student-themed creation exhibitions. These experiences are designed to be unforgettable, allowing attendees to immerse themselves fully in the spirit of coexistence.

The conference will feature both plant-themed and animal-themed sub-events, with a focus on urban animals and plants. The innovative garden, “Fun Planting World,” serves as the action base, inviting urban human residents and animal and plant residents to coexist in LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao and inspire new urban ecological actions.

On site, participants can receive a ‘Coexistence Resident Certificate,’ which allows them to join various wonderful activities. They can also collect points by stamping and following the rules, which can be exchanged for exquisite prizes. It’s noteworthy that the creative planning and organization of this event are primarily driven by students from the College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University. During the animal-themed sub-event, these students will collaborate with others from multiple universities to hold the ‘Joint Exhibition of University Cats’.The Shanghai University Cat Alliance will showcase its positive image to the public through activities such as charity bazaars and support battles. Led by the alliance, co-residents can use brushes to depict their ideal life on a long scroll, pooling their creativity to imagine the beautiful vision of future coexistence.

Collaborating with universities is not a novel concept, but LaLaport Shanghai JinQiao has harnessed the power of universities since its opening, signing an annual strategic cooperation with Tongji Tiandi in August 2021. They have successively co-created events such as the ‘Hello, XiXiLi’ charity exhibition, the ‘2022 Fun Creation Festival’, and the ‘Good Goods’ intangible cultural heritage innovation season, demonstrating a long-term concern for environmental protection and sustainable ecology.

Building on the previous three collaborations, the ‘Everything Coexistence Congress 2024’ event delves deeper into the future possibilities of humans and nature, presenting a new form of sustainable urban ecology. As a regional shopping center operated by the renowned Japanese real estate conglomerate, Mitsui Fudosan, LaLaport Shanghai JinQiao has integrated shopping, entertainment, parent-child activities, and art since its opening, meeting the needs of consumers in all aspects.

Additionally, it invests heavily in environmental protection and public welfare, holding sustainable-themed activities multiple times to support a better life for the surrounding community.LaLaport Shanghai JinQiao offers a platform for community residents to engage in communication and socialization through a variety of activities and services. It encourages residents to participate in environmental protection and public welfare initiatives, elevating the regional lifestyle and mindset to a higher standard.

This partnership with Tongji Tiandi infuses the commercial entity with academic spirit, bringing new vitality to the area. It significantly improves the quality of life in high-end communities within the JinQiao district, establishing a trendsetting and cultural landmark. This collaboration stimulates new life within the urban ecosystem and paints a vibrant picture of harmonious coexistence and prosperity between humans and nature.
