Fan Li Lake Park, formerly known as Chengnan Park, was established in 1998 and later renamed and expanded due to its proximity to Fan Li Lake. It is an ancient site from the Wu and Yue period, reputed to be the place where Fan Li, after aiding King Goujian of Yue to avenge the humiliation of Kuaiji, retired with Xi Shi, sailing across the Five Lakes.
The park features key architectural structures such as Xi Shi’s Makeup Terrace, Tong Yue Pavilion, the Temple of the Business Sage, Moon Viewing Tower, Ladies’ Hall, and the Sunken Fish Pavilion, forming a visual axis of the landscape.
