Fayun Temple is situated atop the main peak of Yu Cang Mountain in Qiaodun Town, known as the Dragon Head Ridge. After the founding by San Duan Master during the Southern Song Dynasty’s Xianxun period, three temples were constructed, with only Fayun Temple remaining. It was subsequently renovated during the Ming Xuande and Qing Kangxi reigns. After the devastating typhoon ‘Sangma’ in 2006, the temple underwent significant reconstruction and is now a prominent Zen forest within Cangnan County.
