Feiyong Pagoda is located within Feiyong Park in Huzhou City. Commonly known as the ‘Pagoda within a Pagoda,’ it is one of the three wonders of Huzhou. The exterior of the Feiyong Pagoda, constructed with a brick-wood mixed masonry structure, is also referred to as a pavilion-style tower, featuring seven levels and eight sides, standing at a height of 55 meters. Inside the outer tower, there is a narrow wooden staircase that spirals upwards, allowing visitors to clearly view the stone statues on the inner pagoda from top to bottom. Ascending to the higher levels, one can observe a circular opening on the top of the inner pagoda. On a clear day, from the vantage point of the tower, one can gaze upon the vast expanse of Lake Taihu and the panoramic view of Huzhou City. The inner stone pagoda stands as an enormous masterpiece of sculptural art, measuring 15 meters in height with five levels and eight sides, and is an authentic piece from the Southern Song Dynasty. The stone pagoda is adorned with various exquisite carvings of figures, animals, and flowers, all vividly lifelike, showcasing the superb craftsmanship of ancient Chinese artisans and the rich Buddhist culture, making it a treasure of ancient Chinese architecture. The pagoda is open to visitors all year round from 08:30 to 16:30.
