Fengle Lake Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of the Huangshan Mountain Range, stretching from the Peach Blossom Stream in the Hot Spring Scenic Area to the first peak outside Huangshan Peak, totaling 28 kilometers in length, with the essence being 7.5 kilometers. In the 1970s, a dam was built at the southern gate of Huangshan, creating a high gorge with a flat lake, thus forming an artificial reservoir scenic area that is relatively high in the eastern region of China and suitable for sightseeing and touring. The upstream area resembles a mountain gorge with mountains and ridges layered, light waves, and green water as clear as jade. The downstream area features fishing songs and sailing shadows, full of life. Riding a sailboat in Fengle Lake, you can meander through the eastern valleys of Huangshan, enjoying the elegance of the Three Gorges, the beauty of a thousand islands, the charm of West Lake, and the misty waves of Dongting Lake. It is praised as the ‘Heavenly Pool of Huangshan’. Fengle Lake is like an emerald embedded among the peaks of Huangshan, adding a magical touch to Huangshan’s dual heritage as a natural and cultural site! Open all year round from 08:00 to 18:30.
