Film ‘Good Stuff’ Shooting Locations

The debut of the film ‘Good Stuff’ has ignited a wave of passionate ‘confessions’ – adding another reason to love Shanghai because of cinema. Although the film does not feature the entire cast speaking in Shanghainese like its predecessor ‘Myth of Love’, it still exudes a strong Shanghai vibe. A total of 25 locations across Shanghai were used for filming, encompassing 51 distinct and varied spots within the city.

Among them are well-known places such as Ju Men Road, Tong Fu Li, Cathay Cinema, Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre, and the Shanghai Four Banks Resistance Memorial Hall. There are also the director’s personal favorites, including small street-side shops and taverns, filled with comfort and texture. The director specifically chose the season when the street plane trees are budding new leaves to shoot the exterior scenes, aiming to capture the most beautiful moments of Shanghai on camera and fully display the characteristics of the Shanghai school and the charm of Shanghai on the big screen.
