The former residence of Wang Kunlun is the ‘Seventy-two Peaks Mountain Villa’. It was originally a building in the Taihu Villa built by Wang Kunlun’s father, Wang Xinru, in 1927. After Wang Kunlun passed away in 1985, in order to commemorate this famous political activist and communist fighter, the people of Wuxi specially opened up the Seventy-two Peaks Mountain Villa as his former residence. The former residence has six rooms in width, covering an area of more than 100 square meters.

It is in the style of a hip-roofed building with corridors on three sides. Facing the vast Taihu Lake in the south and shaded by green cypresses in the north, the environment is quiet and elegant. In the middle of the foyer, in front of the purplish-red velvet curtain, there is a bronze bust of Wang Kunlun. At present, an exhibition on the life and deeds of Wang Kunlun is held in the former residence for tourists to visit and pay their respects.
