Former Residence of Wang Xizhi

The Former Residence of Wang Xizhi is a national 3A tourist area. It is located in the middle of Xiyanchi Street in Linyi urban area. The transportation is very convenient and the geographical location is superior. It was built to commemorate Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher in Chinese history. In 2003, to commemorate the 1700th anniversary of Wang Xizhi’s birth, the place was expanded. After renovation, the Former Residence of Wang Xizhi covers an area of 80 mu. In addition to maintaining the original style, some new scenic spots have been opened up. The former residence is surrounded by green walls on all sides. The green trees are like shade. In the garden, the brook is gurgling. The weeping willows are lingering. The green bamboos are verdant. The colorful fish are swimming. At present, there are scenic spots such as Reminiscing at the Inkstone Pool, Warm Water in the Goose Pond, Floating Wine Cups Along the Curved Water, Pervasive Holy Light, Book-Drying Terrace, and Five Sages Shrine in the former residence. All kinds of tourism facilities are complete. It is a good place for the root-seeking tour of Chinese calligraphy.
