Wang Yangming spent his childhood in this building. The main building has a construction area of more than 500 square meters. It has seven floors and seven bays, double eaves and hard mountain style. The structure is simple and the momentum is relatively large, showing the basic style and features of the Ming and Qing dynasty building residences in eastern Zhejiang. The main building has an exhibition of historical sites of Wang Yangming. The exhibition uses detailed and rich picture materials and physical objects to show the glorious life of Mr. Wang Yangming as a figure who is ‘extremely outstanding in making contributions, cultivating virtue and making statements’.
Near Duanyun Building, there are also many ancient buildings such as Qinghui Jiaqi Building, Dafang Yuedi, Hanlin House, and Taishou House.
