The former site of Jintan Comfort Station is located at No. 32, Huoxiang, East Yanhe Road, Xicheng Sub-district, Jintan District. It was originally the residence of landlord Chen Zijing. After being occupied by the Japanese army, it became a comfort station. The house is a building in the Qing Dynasty. It faces south and is divided into two small courtyards. The eastern courtyard has two entrances. The first entrance is 11 meters wide and 5.8 meters deep. The second entrance is 11 meters wide and 10 meters deep. Between the first and second entrances is a patio, which is 3.8 meters wide. The western courtyard has three entrances. The first entrance is 16.4 meters wide and 11.4 meters deep. The second entrance is 16.4 meters wide and 6 meters deep. The third entrance is 16.4 meters wide and 11.4 meters deep. This former site witnessed the atrocities committed by the Japanese invading army stationed in Jintan and has high historical value. In 2010, it was announced as the third batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units by the Jintan Municipal People’s Government. In 2011, it was announced as the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.
