The Former Site of Duan Qirui’s Government, originally known as Tie Shizi Hutong, was home to three mansions during the Qing Dynasty: the He Qin Wang Fu to the east, the Bei Le Fei Su Fu in the center, and the He Jing Princess Mansion to the west. The He Qin Wang Fu was formerly the residence of Prince Yun, which was rebuilt into the He Qin Wang Fu by the fifth son of Emperor Yongzheng, Hongdou, in the 11th year of Yongzheng’s reign (1733).
The Bei Le Fei Su Fu was the mansion of Prince Chong Ying, a relative of the Qing Dynasty’s founding emperor. By the end of the Qing Dynasty, all the buildings within the two mansions were demolished and replaced with three groups of brick and wood structures: a central European classical-style gray brick building, with a building to the east, west, and north. On the evening of October 21, 2009, the main gate of the former Duan Qirui Government was destroyed by a car. Opening hours: From September 1st to June 30th, open on Saturdays from 09:00 to 16:00; from July 1st to August 31st, open on Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:00, only for group reservations, with actual business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.Former Site of Qing Dynasty’s Ministry of War and Navy
