The Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains scenic area is located in the picturesque Fenghuang Mountain, where the natural landscape is complemented by a 1:1 scale recreation of the main structures and landmarks of China’s renowned Buddhist mountains: Zhejiang Putuo Mountain, Anhui Jiuhua Mountain, Sichuan Emei Mountain, and Shanxi Wutai Mountain. The Putuo Mountain section has been completed and is open to the public.
The ancient architectural art within the scenic area is exquisite, with yellow walls and black tiles on the halls, upturned eaves, and majestic Buddha statues with exquisite shapes. The bell tower houses a ‘Dalu Bronze Bell’ weighing 7000 pounds, which is a marvel, and its sound is thunderous with a lingering echo.
The entire scenic area is planned to be developed into a garden-style scenic spot with nine major functional areas, including archways, pagoda forests, food, commerce, and leisure for the elderly. It is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
