Fuquan Mountain Scenic Area is situated in the southeast mountainous region of Dongqian Lake, bordered by Xiangshan Port to the southeast and adjacent to Dongqian Lake to the northwest. The scenic area is primarily characterized by its mountain ridges, tea gardens, and ever-changing meteorological phenomena, as well as panoramic views of mountains, seas, and cities. The Wanghai Peak, with an elevation of 556 meters, is the highest point within the scenic area. From the summit, one can view Dongqian Lake and Ningbo city to the west, and witness the sunrise over the sea to the east.
The vegetation within the scenic area is lush, featuring pine forests, fir forests, bamboo forests, mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests, and shrubbery. The summit vegetation is predominantly tea plants, with over 3,600 mu of tea plants planted around the slopes, creating a rounded and ridged landscape that undulates with the mountains, forming the spectacular ‘Tea Ridge Green Waves’ scene. At the top of the mountain, there is a pool of clear water known as ‘Longtan’, adjacent to an ancient well whose water never runs dry, referred to as ‘Fuquan’. At the foot of the mountain lies the ancient temple of Daci, dating back to the Six Dynasties, and the tomb path of Shi Miyuan, a prime minister from the Southern Song Dynasty. The scenic area is open year-round from 08:30 to 16:00. Preferential policies include: Children under 1.2m (inclusive) enter for free; those between 1.2m (exclusive) and 1.5m (inclusive) pay half price. Elderly individuals aged 70 (inclusive) and above enter for free with valid identification. Active military personnel enter for free with proof of service. Disabled individuals enter for free with valid identification. Retired cadres enter for free with valid identification. Additional notes: 1.
