Ganquan Film and Television City is located in Changtang Village, surrounded by the mountains of Ganquan. It features replicas of some Ming and Qing Dynasty structures. According to the planning, it will become a top-tier filming location in China for late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China scenes, similar to Hengdian in Zhejiang. From a distance, the entire base resembles a theme park from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China era. Surrounded by the grey city walls, the ancient tea houses left from the Qing Dynasty, small restaurants from the Republic of China period, and European-style bell towers built in the style of the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, various architectural styles are mixed together, creating a cityscape filled with the essence of the era. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
