Xu Genbao Football Base is located at the southern end of Chongming Dongping National Forest Park, initiated and established by football coach Xu Genbao. It covers an area of over 70 acres and is acclaimed as the ‘cradle of football stars and the hope for the world’. The base features three semi-standard football fields, an indoor football field with artificial turf imported from Germany, and a football hotel covering an area of 7,000 square meters. With a total investment of approximately 30 million RMB, construction began in 2000 and was fully completed on October 1, 2001. The base offers service facilities for tourists to visit and relax – the Football Hotel. The Football Hotel is a three-story modern glass-steel structure building, equipped with economy rooms, standard rooms, and suites. It includes a high-standard multifunctional banquet hall that can accommodate over 100 distinguished guests, a 120 square meter meeting room with complete facilities, an elegant lobby coffee seat, and leisure venues such as karaoke, ballroom, chess and card room, ping-pong room, and billiards room.
