The Golden Beach Scenic Area is located on the east side of Yuantuojiao Tourist Resort in Qidong City, Jiangsu Province, covering a total area of more than 2,700 mu. Here, it faces the Yellow Sea on the east and is close to the Yangtze River on the south. It has rich wild animal and plant resources and a good ecological environment. In 2011, it was rated as a national AAA-level tourist attraction. In 2017, it was rated as a provincial wetland park in Jiangsu Province.
The scenic area is located at the eastern end of Jiangsu Province and is one of the earliest places in the Yangtze River Delta to welcome the sunrise. Whenever the sun rises in the east, the rays of sunlight are everywhere, magnificent and majestic. The entire beach is like being covered with golden sand, hence the name ‘Golden Beach’. Where the river meets the sea, the wetland is vast, the water is beautiful and there are abundant products. The charming original ecological landscape and rich and colorful animals and plants of the Golden Beach Scenic Area form a unique scenic line on the eastern coast of China. It integrates ecological wetland protection, popular science education and leisure vacation.
