Le Huo Jing Tian brings you the 2023 Changxing Island Skill Study Camp, published on August 10, 2023, at 10:35 AM. Today, we embark on a new journey of skill study. This camp is dedicated to cultivating the practical skills and problem-solving abilities of teenagers in the face of challenges. Participants will learn many useful skills.
The 2023 Changxing Island Skill Study Camp not only inherits traditional scouting subjects but also continuously innovates, challenging more complex construction and development tasks. All research and development are discussed and realized with teenagers in the curriculum.
1. Fire by Friction: Fire-making is a significant subject that can be awarded a badge on its own due to its importance and danger. The dangers and importance of fire will be discussed separately. Fire extinguishers will be available on the activity site, allowing participants to become familiar with fire-fighting equipment from another perspective.
2. Knot Tying: The focus is on explaining the methods and uses of knot tying. Participants will learn the figure-eight knot, double loop knot, and in-depth study and use of the king of knots, the bowline knot (also known as the lifeline knot).
3. Outdoor Meal Preparation: Utilizing fire-making techniques discussed earlier, participants will prepare a nutritious lunch using a clay stove and simple ingredients. They will also learn about fire safety.
4. Water Balloon Target Practice: Following the IDPA model, this activity introduces and demonstrates relevant knowledge as a game and an interesting project for expanding knowledge and experiences.Le Huo Jing Tian here, and today I’d like to share with you about Shelter Building. We’ll be focusing on A-frame shelter construction. This method uses the knots we learned earlier to create a realistic and environmentally friendly shelter. We’ll be utilizing simulated leaves for the construction process, ensuring that we comply with environmental protection standards.
That concludes today’s share. If you have any questions or need more information, parents, feel free to send private messages or leave comments.
