Gu Garden covers an area of 30 mu. It is located on the southwest side of Gu Yanwu’s former residence and is connected to Gu Yanwu’s cemetery (former residence ancestral hall and tomb). It is a tourist area with Jiangnan private garden style that integrates lake scenery and historical humanities and is restored according to history. In Gu Garden, there is a meandering stream. There are ten scenic spots such as Zhiyong Pavilion surrounded by water, Siyi Garden, Songju Pavilion, ‘Returning to the Strange and Admiring the Weird’ (Ershi Studio), Xiushi Qiuyun Villa, Qiushan Pavilion, Sanxu Residence, Loving Mother Pavilion, and Four Persimmon Pavilion, as well as stele corridors. Each scenic spot implies Mr. Tinglin’s spirit and life in the form of poems, calligraphy and paintings, quotations, and statues. Opening hours: Open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00.
