Gua Bu Mountain Scenic Area in Nanjing Luhe National Geopark showcases geological landscapes such as volcanic groups, stone column forests, and Yuhua Stone strata, complemented by natural ecology and cultural landscapes, forming a large-scale comprehensive geological park.

The stone column forest in Gua Bu Mountain Scenic Area, a major attraction of the national geological park, is primarily composed of basalt stone columns. These columns are arranged in a fan shape from top to bottom, creating a spectacular scene and forming rich and diverse landscapes such as the ‘Lion’s Tower’ and ‘Peacock Display’.

The volcanic geological relics at Gua Bu Mountain are widely recognized as one of the most exciting volcanic sites. Being on site is astonishing. You can actually discern whether the magma from millions of years ago erupted, overflowed, or flowed like a stream, as if time was instantly frozen.

The radiating fan-shaped stone columns, towering over 70 meters high, resemble tall towers built on flat ground.
