The Guangfulin Culture Exhibition Hall is located within the first large roof floating on Fulin Lake and the circular buildings on the sides, with the entire exhibition space set underwater. Entering the exhibition hall gives visitors a sense of stepping underground and traveling back in time to ancient eras.
The exhibition hall is designed with the concept of a ‘journey through time and space’, featuring scenes such as Guangfulin archaeological memories, the evolution of Shanghai’s land formation, the arrival of ancient inhabitants, the formation of urban characteristics, the prosperity of Songjiang County Government, the rise of Shanghai city, and moving towards a future tomorrow. This allows visitors to experience and read about the history of Shanghai, where it came from and where it is going, as they travel through a time tunnel. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round; during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, the hours are extended to 09:00 to 21:00.
