It is a park of modern and contemporary industrial remains in the south of the Yangtze River. It is transformed from the old industrial factory building of Nanjing No. 2 Machine Tool Factory. Its predecessor was the ‘General Administration of Casting Silver Dollars and Making Coins in Jiangnan’ established by Liu Kunyi, the governor of Liangjiang in the late Qing Dynasty. Nowadays, most of the old factory buildings in the park are buildings from the 1950s and 1960s, witnessing the changes of the times and the restoration of entrepreneurial culture.
