Mission Hills Golf boasts 10 volcanic rock golf courses with 18 holes each, featuring jagged black rocks and vast, boundless landscapes. The endless skyline and the horizon of black bare rocks, combined with lush ancient lychee trees and low ancient stone walls, create an atmosphere where the natural volcanic rocks under your feet give an illusion of being on the moon, offering a leisurely golf experience akin to ‘zero gravity’.

Blackstone Course – The No. 1 Course, a global golf enthusiasts’ dream, spans 350 acres (2,125 mu) and retains the original geological features of ten-thousand-year-old volcanic rocks. Navigating through dense and tranquil ancient forests and trees, golfers enjoy a constantly changing challenge. This competition course is uniquely designed with a total length of over 7,808 yards, allowing spectators a broad perspective of the game. Especially in the final holes, spectators can witness the moment of victory from multiple angles, making it a true world-class competition venue.

Sandbelt Trails Course – With the distinctive style of Australia’s famous ribbon sand courses, this course spans over 7,325 yards. The large sand traps with sparkling white sand are a highlight of this course. On the vast expanse of green plains, eucalyptus trees with Australian colors stand, interspersed between the well-spaced greens and tees, offering a refreshing green experience.

The Vintage Course – Continuing the classic style of 19th-century golf courses, this course spans over 7,363 yards. The fairways are designed following the natural contours of the land, maintaining the natural topography and features. Amid lush and dense valleys and forests, natural obstacles such as dams, pot bunkers, ridges, and long sand traps can be found, with the winding stone walls standing out uniquely.

Stepping Stone Course – A short three-par course where a single shot lands on the green, followed by putting on the green. The course is surrounded by volcanic rocks and large sand traps, seamlessly integrated with the surrounding natural landscape.

Lava Fields Course – With unique natural mineral sand traps and irregularly distributed ten-thousand-year-old volcanic rocks, this course offers a vast plain with sparse trees on either side, showcasing a wilderness charm and broadening the view. The perfect fusion of sand and lava on the plain makes it a unique golf course spectacle and a highly challenging international competition course.

Meadow Links Course – Modeled after traditional early American courses, this course features a park-style layout, with lush clusters of trees dotted across open grasslands, and fairways and obstacles forming unique geometric shapes.

The ‘church pew’ style bunkers, densely grassed bunkers, and natural grasses add a unique prairie feel to the golf course. The large green areas increase the difficulty of putting.

Stone Quarry, the seventh course, incorporates all the unique style features related to Mr. North’s design. Railway sleepers,突兀的山包, snowdrift-shaped obstacles, vast wasteland bunkers, devilish greens that are sometimes quite small in area, and train carriage-style bridges – all these elements combine to create a very distinctive landscape characteristic. These landscapes are integrated into the winding course, along with the original topography of ancient volcanic rocks, steep stone walls, and dense bushes, adding a lot of eye-catching scenery to the entire golf course.

The original landscape of the course comes from the remnants of coal mine carts, railway tracks, and abandoned mining equipment. The style of the course is very straightforward and sporty, requiring aggressive and powerful shots. In today’s rapidly changing ‘super long yardage’ course category, it is a friendly and fun alternative.

The eighth course, Double Pin, is a collection of 18 three-shot holes with unique and clear style features, with each green having two cups. This green design is intended to provide two options: one is easier and easier to estimate in position, the other is much more difficult. The botanical garden-style garden atmosphere provides a very enjoyable environment filled with various trees and flowers, complementing the blue sky and fresh air of Haikou. Players of all skill levels can find fun suitable for their mood and technique on this course. Family members, beginners, and professional players can all play or practice here and spend a pleasant and beautiful day.

The ninth course, The Preserve, sets the tone for this easy-to-play golf course with lush palm groves, and its design style is quite modern. Wide fairways are punctuated by bunkers, and the green areas are surrounded by hills, with the central putting surface following modern principles. The landscape area composed of a large number of flowering shrubs and ground plants is bright and vivid, creating a dominant impression throughout the course. The palm tree groups effectively block the sun, giving a comfortable and relaxing feeling.

The tenth course, Shadow Dunes, takes people into the ‘world of sand’, with tall sand dunes and local vegetation found on the vast beaches of Hainan Island, presenting a distinctive environmental condition.
While it is not a beachside golf course, Haikou Mission Hills Golf Club is distinguished by its undulating terrain and the greens within the resort area. These wild green designs may lead to some intimidating long-distance putts; however, it is not a course that can be conquered easily by distance alone.

The precision of short-distance putting on the greens is equally important for golfers. With a total length of approximately 6600 yards and a par of 70, the close connection between the tee boxes and greens here is very conducive to walking within and significantly reduces the time required for playing. The course is fully open throughout the year from 07:00 to 19:00, based on sunrise and sunset times, with the last tee-off time before 16:00.
