Haimen Old Street features a collection of buildings predominantly constructed during the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China period. The street stretches from Zhongshan East Road in the south to Jiangbin Road in the north, originally measuring 470 meters in length, with 225 meters remaining today. The width varies from approximately 6 to 8 meters. It runs in a north-south direction and is paved with stone slabs. At the southern end stands the Drawbridge Head, which was once a bustling intersection; at the northern end, there is Yangfu Temple, with a former archway to the north of the temple inscribed with the three large characters ‘Haimen Guan’. The street is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
