The collections in Haining Museum continue from Majiabang culture in Neolithic Age and include more than 20 categories such as ceramics, jade, calligraphy and paintings. The collection is rich in levels and complete in structure, especially famous for porcelain and jade. The museum covers an area of 13 mu and has a construction area of more than 5,000 square meters. It is equipped with cultural relic boutique hall, calligraphy and painting hall, lantern hall, dinosaur hall, popular science hall and exhibition center. The cultural relic scenic spots under its jurisdiction, such as Xu Zhimo’s former residence and Yanfen Thatched Cottage, are open to the public all year round. The museum journal ‘Haining Cultural Relics’ is published four issues a year and is well received by all walks of life. Opening hours: open from Tuesday to Sunday all year round from 08:30 to 17:00; closed all day on Monday all year round.
