The Haitian Zen Temple, a magnificent architectural wonder, is situated in the eastern part of Banqiao Town, on the north side of the Taicang section of the Hujia Expressway in the suburban area. Established in the 1990s, the temple’s name is inspired by the poetic phrase: “The sea water shakes the empty sky, heavenly flowers brush the sleeves, the breeze is pleasant by the Zen side, and the Banqiao opens beside the temple.”
This unique sight in Jiangdong spans over ten thousand acres and encompasses several key structures, including the Mountain Gate, Tenkō Hall, Mahavira Hall, Guanyun Pavilion, and Jizo Pavilion. Visitors are welcome to explore the temple’s serene environment and architectural splendor throughout the year. The temple is open daily from 08:30 to 11:30 and from 12:30 to 16:00.
