Haiyan County Museum is located at No. 43 Binhai East Road, Wu Yuan Town, Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province, and is a comprehensive local museum. The total number of cultural relics in the collection exceeds 4000 pieces, with nearly 1100 pieces classified as precious artifacts at the third level or above. The collection is predominantly composed of ceramics, especially with the addition of a large number of artifacts from the Liangzhu Culture period in recent years due to archaeological excavations. Additionally, the museum features distinctive collections such as the primitive porcelain chime bells from the Warring States period, the glazed pottery funerary objects from the Three Kingdoms tombs, and the Southern Song Dynasty naval copper seal. The museum building covers an area of more than 3000 square meters, including an artifact storage area of about 700 square meters and a total exhibition area of 800 square meters. There are two permanent exhibition halls and two temporary exhibition rooms. The two permanent exhibitions are ‘Historical Cultural Relics of Haiyan’ and ‘Mud Fragrance Room – Folk Art Exhibition’. The museum is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday from 08:45 to 16:30; closed all day on Mondays; and open on New Year’s Day from 08:45 to 16:30, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
