Zhai Yongming’s excellence as a poet is undeniable, and as a painter, she possesses a rare talent. In even the smallest of paintings, she can name things and go straight to the essence. Her dense, suggestive language and techniques, full of metaphors and hints, remind us all of her poetic origins.
