The Grand Canal (Hangzhou section) is the southernmost end of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. In thousands of years of history, it has integrated the characteristic products, food and clothing, customs and folkways, official and civilian etiquette from all over the north and south of China, forming the canal cultural landscape represented by the ‘Ten Scenes of the Canal’. The Cao Fang Boat is the ‘trendy’ boat on the Hangzhou Canal.

Today’s Cao Fang Boat combines the elements of historical ships on the canal and modern science and technology. It is an important carrier of modern canal tourism. Starting from Wulinmen Wharf and taking the Cao Fang Boat northward, you can enjoy the unique scenery on the Grand Canal heritage line such as Evening Rain at Jiangqiao Bridge, Buddhist Sound at Xiangji Temple, Remaining Wealth and Righteousness, Inviting the Moon at Gongchen Bridge, and People at Qiaoxi.

Canal water tourism represented by the Cao Fang Boat, including day tours, night tours, ancient town tours, and Red Luck Tours on the canal, is favored by citizens and tourists. Opening hours: Open all day all year round. Preferential policies: Children: Under 1.3 meters (excluding) in height are free; those between 1.3 meters (including) and 1.5 meters (excluding) in height enjoy ticket discounts.
