Shi Lian Pavilion is located at the intersection of Lingyin Road and Mei Ling North Road. It is generally passed by on the way to Lingyin Temple. Originally, it was a hexagonal red concrete structure hidden in the shade of the trees. After decades of wind and rain, it has now turned into a grayish-white color. It is reported that this pavilion is the tomb pavilion of the missionaries’ cemetery, serving as a resting place for descendants and believers when they visit the graves.
Beside Shi Lian Pavilion, there stands an old camphor tree with a body leaning towards Lingyin Road. The tree is over 500 years old and, like the famous welcoming pine on Yellow Mountain, it bows to greet every visitor.
