Located in the Xinjiangwan City International Community of Shanghai, the Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tale Park is a large-scale theme park named after the fairy tale writer ‘Hans Christian Andersen’. The park is built around seven major themed areas based on Andersen’s fairy tales, including ‘The Steadfast Tin Soldier’, ‘The Little Match Girl’, ‘Thumbelina’, ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’, ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘The Ugly Duckling’, and ‘The Wild Swans’.
Not only does the park feature entertainment facilities such as ‘Merry-Go-Round’ and ‘Odin’s Blessing’, it has also introduced large-scale climbing and sliding structures. Furthermore, the park boasts the authentic Hans Christian Andersen Museum from Denmark and a nationally approved Science and Low Carbon Experience Hall.
Exciting performances and parades are also a major attraction, making visitors linger and enjoy the experience. The park is open from 01/01 to 09/30 from 09:30 to 17:30; from 10/08 to 12/31 from 09:30 to 17:30; and from 10/01 to 10/07 from 09:30 to 20:00.
Preferential policies include free admission for military personnel with valid identification and firefighters with valid identification. Children under 1 meter (inclusive) enter for free.
