Haohe is one of the most well-preserved ancient moats in China. Along its banks, there are numerous scenic spots and historical sites, including the ancient Tang Dynasty temple Tianning Temple, the remains of the Nantong ancient city wall known as Beiji Pavilion, the Ming Dynasty pagoda Wenfeng Pagoda, and the first public museum in China, Nantong Museum. Additionally, there are attractions such as the Huanxi Cultural Square, Cultural Palace, and Sports Park, where visitors can spend half a day or even a full day exploring at leisure.


When visiting the Haohe Scenic Area, do not miss the renowned night view of Haohe. Under the night sky, both ancient and modern buildings along the banks are illuminated with vibrant lights, creating a colorful spectacle. What’s more enchanting is the reflection of these colors on the river surface. After dinner, take a stroll by the river, feel the breeze, and enjoy the musical fountains by the river, a truly pleasant experience. If you take a boat tour at night, you can enjoy a completely different view from the day.


The area is open all year round, with visitor center service hours from 08:30 to 22:00, and boat tour times at 09:30, 14:30, and 18:45 on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays; no tours on Mondays and Chinese New Year’s Eve.
