The Shi Li Ju Xiang (He Xiang Ju Hai) Scenic Area is located in Yangma Town, Sheyang County, known as the ‘Hometown of Materials’ in China. It is one of the largest chrysanthemum production bases in the country and the largest material planting base in East China. With nearly 100,000 acres of material planting area and nearly 300 varieties, it has formed more than 10 leading material products such as chrysanthemums and salvia, among which chrysanthemums and salvia are the best in the country. The scale planting and breeding varieties are more than 30. The Yangma chrysanthemum production base and chrysanthemum series products have been rated as ‘Green Food Base’, ‘Organic Food Production Base’, and ‘Green Food’ by the state.
The scenic area includes tourist projects such as ten thousand mu chrysanthemum base, Baicao Garden, Wen Yao Pin Ming, Chinese Material Culture Museum, folk performances, and agritourism garden. It features bridges over flowing water, pavilions, and winding paths, and displays nearly a thousand species of Chinese material specimens. In October, visitors can enjoy the fragrance of ten thousand mu of chrysanthemums floating among the clouds, as if they are in a sea of flowers. Fishing in the Xinyang River, tasting medicinal materials, soaking in medicinal baths, and enjoying the local customs and the joy of rural life, one can also appreciate the new trends of the times.
