Hefei Science and Technology Museum is a large-scale scientific popularization themed venue.
Located at the intersection of Huangshan Road and Hehua Road in the city’s garden-style avenue, it covers an area of 16,710 square meters. The museum opened on May 26, 2002. The Hefei Science and Technology Museum is divided into three functional areas: A, B, and C. Areas A and C are dedicated to the display of scientific exhibits, while area B serves as an academic exchange, scientific training, and office area. Area A, shaped like a shuttle, symbolizes the vessel of science and technology and is the central part of the museum. Permanent exhibits are located on the second and third floors of this area, with the first floor designated for temporary exhibits and conference exchange areas. Area C is connected to area A via a corridor. The exhibits can be categorized into: electromagnetic exhibition area, acoustic exhibition area, mechanical exhibition area, human testing exhibition area, optical exhibition area, information technology exhibition area, mathematics exhibition area, children’s exhibition area, earthquake simulation exhibition area, celestial phenomena and dome cinema, rolling ball, and Yang Zhenning Exhibition Hall, with over 140 pieces (sets) of exhibits on display. Opening hours are from Wednesday to Sunday, 09:00-16:30 all year round; closed all day on Monday and Tuesday; open on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day from 09:00-16:30.Hefei Science and Technology Museum
