Hengdian Yuanming New Garden, covering an area of over 6200 acres with a total investment of 30 billion yuan, is newly constructed on a 1:1 scale according to the original Yuanmingyuan. It integrates classical Chinese and Western architecture, lush mountains and waters, exotic flowers and plants, antique treasures, and cultural technology, making it a unique wonderland. The garden is divided into four daytime scenic areas: New Yuanmingyuan (Spring Garden), New Changchunyuan (Summer Garden), New Qichunyuan (Autumn Garden), and New Changchunyuan (Winter Garden), as well as ten scenic spots including the Joyful Night Fuhai, Animal Specimen Museum, and Ice and Snow Sculpture Museum.
Inside, there are 100 parks, each planting more than 4000 varieties of flowers, trees, and plants with similar symbolic meanings, surrounding royal, foreign, official, commercial, and folk architecture, hence the nickname ‘Garden of Ten Thousand Flowers’.
The garden is open year-round from 08:00 to 17:00.
