Hengdian Yuanming New Garden, covering an area of over 6200 acres with a total investment of 30 billion yuan, is newly built in a 1:1 scale replica of the original Yuanmingyuan. It is a unique wonderland that integrates classical Chinese and Western architecture, lush mountains and clear waters, exotic flowers and plants, antique treasures, and cultural technology. The garden is divided into four daytime scenic areas: New Yuanmingyuan (Spring Garden), New Changchunyuan (Summer Garden), New Qichunyuan (Autumn Garden), and New Changchunyuan (Winter Garden), as well as ten scenic spots including Joyful Night Fuxian, Animal Specimen Hall, and Ice and Snow Sculpture Hall.
Within the garden, there are 100 parks, each planted with over 4000 varieties of flowers and trees that symbolize similar meanings, surrounding royal, foreign, official, merchant, and folk architecture, hence it is also known as the ‘Garden of Ten Thousand Flowers’.
