By the end of 2004, to accommodate the filming of the 30-episode TV series ‘Shajiabang’, an investment of over 15 million yuan was made to establish the Shajiabang Water Town Film and Television Base. Hengjing Old Street, Diao’s Mansion, Chunlai Teahouse, and Jiangnan Small Fishing Village, among other historical sites, were restored, enhancing the capacity for red tourism and improving the attractiveness and educational value of red attractions. Additionally, it has been designated as a filming location for multiple film and television productions, including the completed ‘Shajiabang’, the sister series of ‘Golden Powder Family’ titled ‘Golden Age’, digital movies such as ‘Three Words and Two Beats’, ‘Jasmine’, ‘Feihong of Jingwu’, and ‘Great Ming Dynasty’. It is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
