The Hongshan Ruins are burial site ruins from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. There are 108 mounds within the ruins area, and 51 large-scale tombs from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. After the rescue archaeological excavation of seven of these tombs, more than 2,300 precious cultural relics were unearthed. The museum is based on the Hongshan tomb complex. It is planned and constructed on the original site of the burial mound. It focuses on the display and research of unearthed cultural relics at the Hongshan Ruins, the display and research of Wu culture, and the original site protection and display of Qiuchengdun.
